تیم توسعه پی اچ پی ( PHP ) با افتخار اعلام میکند : PHP 5.2.12 Stable منتشر شد. در این نسخه بیشتر به بهبود ثبات PHP 5.2.x توجه شده است. در این نسخه بیش از 60 مشکل حل شده که برخی از این موارد مربوط به امنیت میشوند. تیم توسعه از تمامی افرادی که از نسخه های قدیمی استفاده میکنند، میخواهد هر چه زودتر PHP مورد استفاده خود را به آخرین نسخه منتشر شده یعنی 5.2.12 ارتقا دهند. در ادامه مهمترین تغییر های این نسخه را میبینیم :

* Fixed a safe_mode bypass in tempnam()
* Fixed a open_basedir bypass in posix_mkfifo()
* Added "max_file_uploads" INI directive, which can be set to limit the number of file uploads per-request to 20 by default, to prevent possible DOS via temporary file exhaustion
* added protection for $_SESSION from interrupt corruption and improved "session.save_path" check
* Fixed bug #49785 (insufficient input string validation of htmlspecialchars())

Key enhancements in PHP 5.2.12 include:

* Fixed unnecessary invocation of setitimer when timeouts have been disabled. (Arvind Srinivasan)
* Fixed crash in com_print_typeinfo when an invalid typelib is given. (Pierre)
* Fixed crash in SQLiteDatabase::ArrayQuery() and SQLiteDatabase::SingleQuery() when calling using Reflection. (Felipe)
* Fixed crash when instantiating PDORow and PDOStatement through Reflection. (Felipe)
* Fixed memory leak in openssl_pkcs12_export_to_file(). (Felipe)
* Fixed bug #50207 (segmentation fault when concatenating very large strings on 64bit linux). (Ilia)
* Fixed bug #50162 (Memory leak when fetching timestamp column from Oracle database). (Felipe)
* Fixed bug #50006 (Segfault caused by uksort()). (Felipe)
* Fixed bug #50005 (Throwing through Reflection modified Exception object makes segmentation fault). (Felipe)
* Fixed bug #49174 (crash when extending PDOStatement and trying to set queryString property). (Felipe)
* Fixed bug #49098 (mysqli segfault on error). (Rasmus)
* Over 50 other bug fixes.

تیم توسعه پی اچ پی ( PHP ) با افتخار اعلام میکند : PHP 5.3.0 Stable منتشر شد. این نسخه نقطه عطفی در PHP سری 5 میباشد که در آن ویژگیهای جدیدی اضافه شده و باگهای گزارش شده نسخ قبل حل شده است .
از ویژگیهای اصلی نسخه 5.3 میتوان به namespaces, late static binding, closures, optional garbage collection for cyclic references و اکستنشهای جدید مانند ext/phar, ext/intl و ext/fileinfo و حل بیشتر از یکصد و بیست باگ اشاره کرد . ( در ادامه مطالب ویژگی های بیشتری مورد اشاره قرار گرفته اند )

* Syntax additions: NOWDOC, ternary short cut "?:" and jump label (limited goto), __callStatic()

* Improved Windows support including VC9 and experimental X64 binaries as well as portability to other supported platforms
* More consistent float rounding
* Deprecation notices are now handled via E_DEPRECATED (part of E_ALL) instead of the E_STRICT error level
* Several enhancements to enable more flexiblity in php.ini (and ini parsing in general)
* New bundled extensions: ext/phar, ext/intl, ext/fileinfo, ext/sqlite3, ext/enchant
* Over 140 bug fixes and improvements to PHP, in particular to: ext/openssl, ext/spl and ext/date
